TESTIMONIALS

I was delighted when I read that Marty Wilde is running for State Representative.  I worked with Marty Wilde in a Texas district attorney’s office when he worked with victims of domestic violence while his wife served on active duty in the Air Force.  Although I was officially a subordinate, he always treated me as a respected equal.  As the victim advocate, my opinion and that of the victim were not only valued but requested. Marty Wilde was an amazing attorney to work with.  He supported my goals for each victim and personally encouraged me to attend law school because he saw potential in me. One of my saddest days at the DA’s office was when Marty left to return to his home in Oregon. I left shortly thereafter, I have never before or since worked with an attorney that valued my insight, education or intellect as much as Marty.  I hope that Texas’s loss is Oregon’s gain.  Marty will be a strong voice for women’s rights in the Oregon House.

During the year we worked together, I appreciated Marty's leadership and commitment to fostering a collaborative environment. He leads through serving others -- he often pitched in with everyday office housework and cheerfully took on tasks that some executive directors might consider beneath them. When resolving a conflict or discussing a problem, I found him approachable and communicative, and he listened to me with respect and an open mind, encouraging me to pursue new ideas. Marty's supportive leadership style cultivated a positive workplace that helped me grow as a young professional.

Col Wilde has been a valuable sounding board and source of support to me in navigating a major career change while pursuing an advanced degree and progression in my military career. He has an uplifting, matter-of-fact belief in his teammates to overcome challenges, and I am consistently inspired by the care and planning he applies toward helping develop the careers of me and my colleagues.

I've known Marty Wilde professionally for years.  He served as an invaluable mentor for me and assisted me as I was assigned increasing levels of responsibility in my job.

It’s a pleasure to see a person of Marty Wilde’s caliber offer himself to voters as their state representative in District 11.

Wilde grew up in rural Oregon and has continued to serve our country in the military with tours in the war zones. His leadership has been recognized with his achievement of the rank of colonel.

In his private life, Wilde is an attorney but, more importantly, serves now as the executive director of the local medical society.

His knowledge and interest in medicine will make him a valuable representative as we work to reduce health care costs. I encourage you to vote for Marty Wilde as your next state representative.

STATE SENATOR, DISTRICT 6

It is a scary time to be a kid in the world, and the stress is only increasing. They are trapped in the “more, more, more, bigger, better” expectations of the race to nowhere, as adults hand them a world of divisiveness and uncertainty.

Marty Wilde, who’s running for the state House of Representatives in District 11, wants to invest in kids as the foundation of a hopeful future. He has volunteered in a mentorship program with middle schoolers and sat on the elementary parent-teacher organization, because he believes in the potential of kids and supports our teachers.

Wilde wants to fund schools to decrease class sizes and keep art, music and physical education to complete academic success. Wilde knows that our most vulnerable and disenfranchised populations need resources to ensure access and opportunity. I support Wilde for Oregon because he is working for all of our children, because growth in our community means changing the world.
